Wrath of Man UK release date | Cast, where to watch online
A Guy Ritchie gangster flick is always a special occasion, with the English director returning to the genre for the revenge thriller Wrath of Man.
Better yet, Ritchie will team up with frequent collaborator Jason Statham for the first time in 15 years, after the two redefined the crime genre with their debut films Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
The coronavirus restrictions mean much of the rest of the world has already had a chance to see the man’s wrath, but the heist film is finally heading to Ritchie and Statham’s home in the UK.
Here’s everything you need to know about Wrath of Man.
Wrath of Man UK release date
Wrath of Man has been set a UK release date of July 23, 2021.

The Wrath of Man cast
The big draw is of course Jason statham, who has established himself as a reliable man of action over the years and is more than comfortable as a stoic leader of a crime. Statham will play H, a mysterious cash truck driver working for the armored vehicle company Fortico.
Statham will be joined by Holt mccallany (Mindhunter) and Josh Hartnett (Penny Dreadful) as two Fortico guards and H’s colleagues, while Jeffrey Donovan (Fargo) portrayed former Platoon Sergeant Jackson.
Scott Eastwood (Fast & Furious 8), Laz Alonso (The boys) and DeObia Oparei (Loki) rounds out the cast as former members of Jackson’s Platoon, with Andy Garcia (The Godfather III) as an FBI agent with an interest in H.
Oh, and look for an uncredited Post Malone’s thief cameo!

Reviews on Wrath of Man
As with many subsequent Guy Ritchie films, Wrath of Man received mixed reviews, although most would agree that the film offers the intense thrill one would expect from a Ritchie and Statham team. The movie currently sits at 66% on Rotten Tomatoes and 57% on Metacritic – but the audience scores are much higher at 90% and 6.9 respectively.
Ritchie and Statham have received much praise, with K. Austin Collins of Rolling stone saying the duo have “the compatible swagger that makes the movie worth watching”, adding that “combine the two and you get quick, muscular and – perhaps best of all – coherent action.”
Ritchie, in particular, was praised, along with Matt Zoller Seitz for RogerEbert.com going so far as to say that “Wrath of Man is one of Guy Ritchie’s best-directed films – and one of his most surprising, at least in terms of style and tone.”
Pierre Debruge from Variety echoed Seitz’s praise, saying, “A few years ago, when Sam Mendes left the Bond franchise, Ritchie’s name was offered as a possible replacement. He didn’t take the job, but Wrath of Man shows he certainly could have done it, ranking his signing technique without ever completely giving up the cockney swagger.
The GuardianBenjamin Lee of Benjamin Lee was not quite as complimentary in his three-star review, but added, “Although it’s based on a threadbare plot that’s as familiar as it is unforgettable, this edgy B-action movie offers about enough primitive entertainment. “
However, there have been some more critical criticisms, as the Chicago Sun-Times’ Richard Roeper said “tired, uninspired and curvy, Wrath of Man is a step back for Ritchie”, while Daily screenScreen Daily’s Tim Grierson wrote: “The empty swagger leaves the whole business feeling a bit mechanical – a heist without a whiff of escape fun.”
