TV & radio broadcasting restored in Zangilan – AZERTAC

Within the framework of the execution of the decree of President Ilham Aliyev “on the organization of a temporary special administration in the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan freed from occupation”, work continues to restore the infrastructure, including the work of television and radio stations in the territories liberated from occupation.

As part of the restoration of television and radio broadcasting in the liberated territories, the Association for the production of television broadcasting and satellite communications (Teleradio PA) of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has restored the broadcasting of eight channels television and two radio stations in the city. of Zangilan and more than ten villages in the Zangilan region through the existing 30-meter tower of the Minjivan Radio and Television Station, installed in the village of Minjivan.

Previously, the relevant equipment had been installed at Shusha radio and television station, and on December 31, 2020, television and radio broadcasts were restored to the towns of Shusha, Khankandi and Khojali, Aghdam, Barda, as well as in adjacent locations. In addition, on October 4, 2021, a new 17-meter metal tower was commissioned in the town of Kalbajar. For example, eight television channels and one radio channel were broadcast in Kalbajar and in 15 surrounding villages.

Currently, work is continuing on the restoration of television and radio broadcasting in other territories freed from occupation. It is also planned to restore the works of the Shahyeri station, located on the territory of the village of the same name in the agglomeration of Hadrut, Khojavand region before the end of the year.

It should be recalled that in accordance with the “Program of Action for the Organization of Communication Services in the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, work continues in the liberated territories as well as in other areas.
