Television and radio have been launched in the liberated Kalbajar region of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technology reported.

A new 17-meter broadcasting tower has been commissioned in the town of Kalbajar, as part of the restoration work for television and radio broadcasts in the liberated territories. Eight television channels and one radio channel will be broadcast in the city itself and in 15 neighboring villages in the region.

At the same time, work has started to restore broadcasting to Shahreyi station, located in the village of the same name near the settlement of Hadrut in the Khojavand region. The station is expected to be operational by the end of 2021. As a result, TV and radio broadcasts will be provided in Khojavand, Fuzuli and Jabrayil regions.

Work is also underway to create the infrastructure of the Gubadli station, which was completely destroyed, and to rebuild the Minjivan station in the Zangilan area to resume television and radio broadcasts in those areas.

It should be noted that since December 31, 2020, television and radio broadcasts have been restored in the towns of Shusha and Khankandi, in the regions of Khojali (Khojaly), Aghdam and Barda, as well as in the towns. surrounding areas.

Earlier in April, Caspian International Broadcasting Company LLC (CBC FM radio station) was declared the winner of the tender for the opening of a radio station in the Azerbaijani region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Currently, work is underway to restore the liberated territories of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan will carry out restoration and reconstruction works in its recently liberated territories in four stages. The initial stage includes solving the problems of governance and security, infrastructure, while the following stages include solving the problems of social service activities, reconstruction and development of the economy.

Azerbaijan has allocated $ 1.5 billion for reconstruction works in the territories liberated in 2021. These funds will be used in particular to restore infrastructure (electricity, gas, water, communications, roads, education, health, etc.) , as well as cultural and historical. the monuments.
