Kingstonist Launches Online Radio Station – Kingston News

Your go-to local news source is expanding to bring you even more coverage of Kingston and the surrounding area!

Kingstonist Radio is officially live and online here 24/7 where you’ll hear nothing but local music, content and news from your favorite people in and around the area. While other mainstream FM stations broadcast recycled content from the internet, Kingstonist Radio aims to elevate, broadcast and showcase hyper-local music and news that truly matters to you, right here in our community.

The station will play music from local bands and artists and aims to showcase the rich, eclectic and diverse range of musicians living within our communities. Kingstonist Radio’s music library currently contains thousands of songs from a wide range of artists, including favorites like Sarah Harmer, The Tragically Hip, Miss Emily, The Wilderness, The Glorious Sons and Kasador – and you could be the next !

Kingstonist Radio is also kicking off even more news coverage with a brand new local weekday newscast that can be heard at 9am, 12pm, 3pm and 6pm. Local journalist and media personality Rebecca Fryer (formerly of 98.3 FLY FM) joins the Kingstonist team as the daily host of Kingstonist On-Air and will also appear in your social media feeds as the host of new segments. daily video news.

Rebecca says she is very happy to join this passionate team of local journalists and get back behind the mic after a layoff and back-to-back COVID babies in 2020 and 2021.

Fittingly, Kingstonist Radio will launch on Valentine’s Day 2022 with the theme “We Love Kingston”. Kingstonist is the city’s independent, local online news site and is always looking for submissions of events and news happening in your community.

With coverage from Brockville to Belleville, Picton to Sharbot Lake and all points in between, we encourage everyone to send in their topical tips here to help us cover what matters to you in your community.
