Earlier this year, Joel and Victoria, who run their own 24/7 SiriusXM channel, Joel Osteen Radio, reached out to listeners across the country to hear stories about cities and communities in need. hope and inspiration. One of the many stories received was about the city of Gillette, Wyoming, where the sudden closure of two coal mines left nearly 600 workers unemployed.
Carolyn Waldrop, one of Gillette’s most engaged residents, is an avid listener of the Osteens SiriusXM channel and has followed Joel’s sermons for years. In recent weeks, a bankruptcy judge has approved the sale of the two mines to a company that is reopening the mines.
