Chris said Betty was talking about her comeback single and the 30-year gap since her incredible Brit Award win.

As an avid Betty fan in the late 80s and 90s, Chris said he had a great time catching up with her and getting her on his radio show to talk about her journey and her new music. .

Chris said: “Betty was a real treasure to chat with. We talked about all things hip hop and pop and the good old days of the radio one roadshow where she shared her day flying through the crowd by helicopter to perform in front of thousands of people at the roadshow which of course has toured UK beaches every summer.

“Her UK Best Newcomer award in 1991 was something to achieve and here we are now in 2022 – 31 years later and she now has a new audience to enjoy her music and talents with her new single, Right By Your Side. It’s already massive on the Spotify download platform and with a tour and new album on the way in October, it’s fair to say that Betty Boo is back and doing the doo again.
