Azerbaijan restores TV and radio broadcasts in liberated Gubadli
The Broadcasting, Television and Satellite Communications Production Association (Teleradio PA) of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has re-established broadcasting in Gubadli.
The broadcasting of 8 TV programs and 2 radios was restored in the city of Gubadli and 12 villages of the district of Gubadli (Alibayli, Goturbulag, Khojahan, Gapanli, Mughanli, Hal, Khanlig, Hanzali, Afandilar, Gazyan, Saray, Yukhari Mollu) using the existing 50-meter tower of the region’s Khanlig TV and radio station.
It should be noted that a number of measures have been taken to restore the functioning of television and radio channels in the liberated territories.
Thus, with the installation of appropriate equipment at the Shusha radio and television station, on December 31, 2020, the cities of Shusha, Khankandi and Khojali, the districts of Aghdam, Barda, as well as the surrounding agglomerations have been provided with television and radio broadcasts. In addition, on October 4, 2021, a new 17-meter metal tower and relevant broadcast equipment were installed and put into operation in the town of Kalbajar. Thus, 8 TV and 1 radio programs were broadcast in the town of Kalbajar and 15 surrounding villages in the district.
In addition, on October 20 of this year, 8 TV programs and 2 radio programs were broadcast in Zangilan Town and more than 10 villages in Zangilan District using the existing 30-meter tower of the radio station and Minjivan television in the district.
Currently, work is continuing for the restoration of television and radio broadcasting in other territories freed from occupation. It is also planned to restore the works of the Shahyeri station in the Hadrut settlement of the Khojavand district before the end of the year.
