Azerbaijan launches TV and radio broadcasts in liberated Kalbajar


Television and radio have been launched in the Azerbaijani Kalbajar liberated from Armenian occupation, News.Az reports citing the country’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technology.

According to the ministry, as part of the restoration work on television and radio in the liberated territories, a 17-meter broadcasting tower was put into operation in the town of Kalbajar. Thus, in the city itself and in 15 villages of the district of Kalbajar, eight television channels and one radio channel will be broadcast.

In addition, work has started to restore the broadcasting of Shahyeri station in the village of the same name near the settlement of Hadrut, in the district of Khojavand, and the station is expected to be operational by the end of this year. . As a result, television and radio will be broadcast in the districts of Khojavand, Fuzuli and Jabrayil.

At the same time, work is underway to create the infrastructure for Gubadly station and rebuild Minjivan station in Zangilan district to resume television and radio broadcasts in these regions.

The corresponding equipment was installed at Shusha TV and Radio Station, and from December 31, 2020, TV and radio broadcasting was restored to Shusha and Khankendi Towns, Khojaly Districts, Aghdam and Barda, as well as the adjacent settlements. .
